Regis developed an interest in physiotherapy after witnessing the importance of recovery after painful injuries. With a long-standing fascination with biomechanics, he was captivated by the idea that movement, combined with an understanding of bodily functions and mechanics, could be used to enhance and optimise physical performance. This realisation ultimately led him to pursue a career in physiotherapy.
During his time at university, Regis worked as a teaching assistant in both kinesiology and biomechanics while studying physiotherapy. He was also actively involved in academic research and took on a mentoring role, supporting new students entering the physiotherapy programme. In addition to his formal education, he expanded his clinical approach by exploring a biopsychosocial model approach with physiotherapists from Australia, further broadening his perspective on patient care.
Regis remains passionate about learning and looks forward to applying his growing expertise to support the patients at Vanbrugh Physio.
An interesting fact no one would know:
Regis has treated a few professional footballers and Mixed Martial Fighters over the years working as physiotherapist in Brazil, Italy, and the UK.

“When I hurt my back, I chose Vanbrugh Physio to have a look at it and to advise further course of action. I could have not made a better choice. Their premises are of an extremely high standard and they have all the necessary equipment, including a gym. The staff at the reception is fabulous and always happy to help. They accept treatments covered by private insurance providers and it was very easy to sort this out. I would like to personally thank here Mr Regis da Silva, who has been looking after me. Thanks to his knowledge and his amazing approach to patients, my therapy was a big success. The pain in my back has gone and so has the nerve irritation. I can now go about my day as I did before the injury. It has been absolute pleasure dealing with Mr da Silva and I can definitely recommend his services to anyone in need of a physiotherapy.”
