We tailor Clinical Pilates to your body and goals – whether you’re recovering from injury, managing pain, or looking to move more efficiently. We offer 1-to-1 rehab sessions as well as small group Mat and Equipment classes in our fully-equipped Pilates studio.
This is more than fitness, it’s a clinical tool to rebuild strength, restore movement control, and support long-term health.
Helpful for:
Clinical Pilates is highly beneficial for those recovering from injury or surgery, or those undertaking rehabilitation for persistent or chronic pain. It’s also perfect for people who want to improve their movement efficiency and performance.
For those recovering from an illness or cancer, it is a safe and supportive way to rebuild strength, core stability and confidence in your movement. Many of our clients report feeling more confident in their bodies.
It’s also a great cross-training tool allowing the pilates equipment to challenge your control, co-ordination and movement abilities. The result is a more finely tuned musculoskeletal system.
Whether you’re a keen athlete, a new mum, an office worker or in your senior years, our dedicated team will help you regain your strength, motor control and balance in a safe and supervised environment.
Here are just some of the ways Clinical Pilates can help you achieve your health and wellbeing goals:
Whatever stage of recovery you are at, your Clinical Pilates instructor can help guide you through your rehab program safely, with specific exercises to help you get back to full activity again.
Clinical Pilates is gentle and completely safe to do, both during pregnancy and after giving birth. Your instructor can guide you through your pre and post natal journey, helping you return to normal activity after giving birth.
No-one should have to live with pain. Whether your pain is from a recent injury, or long term problem, the right movement can help reduce pain for good.
Your Clinical Pilates instructor can help you understand what your body needs after any illness or course of treatment you’ve undergone, including cancer, heart conditions or stroke. We’re here to support you through your rehab program.
Getting older doesn’t have to mean putting up with aches and pains. Clinical Pilates can be adapted for all ages and abilities, and is perfect for helping you stay strong and fully active through your senior years.
As an athlete, you want to perform at your best, but even with regular training it can feel like you’ve plateaued. Clinical Pilates is a great way to build on your strength training, so you can avoid injury and perform better.
Pilates is a fitness exercise that focuses on core strength, flexibility, posture, and overall body conditioning. Clinical Pilates, on the other hand, is a rehabilitation-based approach, tailored to treat or prevent injuries. Our Clinical Pilates classes are taught by physiotherapists that are trained to assess your physical condition, modify exercises accordingly, and help you alongside your broader physiotherapy-driven treatment plan.
We have a dedicated Pilates studio within our clinic with all of the essential equipment you would need including a Reformer machine, Cadillac (or Trapeze Table), a Wunda or Pilates Chair, and a Ladder Barrel.
We offer Equipment and Mat Pilates classes in small group settings. There are less than 6 people in each class, so rest assured, you will receive tailored, hands-on guidance and support from the physiotherapist leading your class.
We offer classes tailored for Beginner, Intermediate, and Senior audiences.
We recommend patients first attend a 1-to-1 Clinical Pilates session with a physiotherapist. Our physiotherapists will assess your physical condition, develop modifications to exercises as necessary, and ensure Clinical Pilates fits within your broader physiotherapy-driven treatment plan.
After an initial 1-to-1 Clinical Pilates session, our physiotherapists will be able to refer you to the appropriate small group class.
To get started, call our reception team at 020 8293 5484 and let them know that you’re interested in Clinical Pilates.
