Mark Lawrence

Personal Trainer

Mark has been a Personal Trainer for over 15 years, working with clients in Greenwich and beyond to help them achieve their fitness goals. During this time, he has supported people of all ages and abilities – from those managing chronic conditions such as MS and diabetes, to individuals recovering from sporting injuries, or simply wanting to improve their overall strength and wellbeing.

Mark’s own fitness journey has been shaped by overcoming significant challenges, including chronic fatigue and injuries. Through persistence, nutrition, meditation, and a passion for exploring alternative methods such as Yoga and Reiki, he rebuilt his health. This personal experience gives him a unique empathy and determination to help others succeed, whatever their starting point.

Before becoming a trainer, Mark competed at both national and international level in rugby as a scrum-half. He brings this sporting background, together with his BSc in Sport Science and a wide range of specialist qualifications, into his training approach. His expertise includes kettlebell instruction, strength and conditioning, injury rehabilitation, and advanced programme design. Mark believes in creating personalised plans that are practical, motivating, and tailored to each individual’s needs. His clients can expect encouragement, structure, and a supportive environment where progress feels both achievable and sustainable.

An interesting fact no one would know:

After ankle surgery in 2010, Mark was told he would not be able to run again. Since then, he has completed three marathons and continues to include running as a regular part of his training.
