Clare is a Personal Trainer at Vanbrugh Physio. Raised in a sport-loving family, she grew up playing tennis, netball, hockey, and swimming. In her twenties and thirties, she began running recreationally, progressing from 5km and 10km races to marathons and eventually triathlons, continually seeking new challenges.
Before transitioning into the fitness industry, Clare spent over 30 years working in financial services in the City of London. Even in a corporate environment, her natural focus was on coaching and mentoring – helping colleagues and clients set, refine, and achieve their goals. This passion for supporting others led her to pursue a new path, qualifying as a personal trainer and dedicating herself to helping individuals realise the health and lifestyle benefits of fitness.
Clare’s approach is grounded in personal experience. She understands the challenges of long working hours, sedentary office life, and the physical toll it can take. Having been a patient at Vanbrugh Physio herself, she also has firsthand insight into injury recovery, and the resilience it takes to rebuild health and fitness following illness, injury, or surgery.
Perhaps most importantly, Clare understands what it takes to turn a goal into a tangible achievement – something she experienced personally when she crossed the finish line of an endurance triathlon shortly after her 50th birthday.
She is excited to be part of the Vanbrugh Physio team and is passionate about supporting clients of all backgrounds in reaching their individual health and fitness goals, whatever they may be.
An interesting fact no one would know:
Clare is a Divemaster scuba diver. Her most memorable adventures include witnessing Orcas and Tiger Sharks in the Southern Ocean, off the coast of South Africa.
