Blake’s interest in physiotherapy started at a young age; he had an active childhood filled with football, gymnastics, baseball, and tennis. He found himself fascinated with the human body and how movement helps us express ourselves. He graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy in 2011 and started his career in Sydney working across a broad range of clinical areas within large public hospitals. In these roles, he gained exposure to a variety of musculoskeletal injuries, amputees, and orthopaedics.
Blake moved to London in 2014 and continued working in rehabilitation across a variety of community, NHS, and private settings. He most recently worked at a charity hospital specialising in neuro-cognitive rehabilitation, where he led the physiotherapy team. In this role, he had the opportunity to not only attend but to present at the World Confederation of Physical Therapy Conference in Cape Town in 2017.
Blake’s varied experiences have shaped his holistic approach to physiotherapy. He is particularly interested in chronic pain and musculoskeletal dysfunction and he’s aware of how persistent physical discomfort can affect not just the body, but an individual’s sense of freedom.
Blake is a devoted music enthusiast and collector, a DJ hobbyist, and a yogi novice. He spends his downtime camping, hiking, and finding beautiful spots in nature.
An interesting fact no one would know:
Blake was an elite gymnast in his youth and almost left school entirely to pursue the sport. Although he has never forgotten how to backflip, he – at times – struggles to touch his toes!
Great to have a testimonial from a patient client
“Blake is so calming, professional, kind and fantastic! Excellent session. He really pays attention to what you need and educates you on what you can do for yourself too – can’t recommend enough!”
