Annie-Rose Marafioti

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Annie-Rose grew up in South Australia, where sport was a constant from a young age. Netball, competitive swimming and running shaped her childhood; along the way she saw first-hand how movement can be used to recover from injury. That insight inspired her to pursue a career as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist.

While working in Australia, Annie-Rose became closely involved with Division 1 and 2 local Australian football teams. Working alongside players, she developed a particular passion for sports-related injuries and for guiding athletes through rehabilitation with a clear return-to-play goal. Her AFL background also gave her strong experience in concussion management and return-to-play protocols.
Through her time delivering clinical Pilates, Annie-Rose discovered a further interest in supporting women during pregnancy and the postpartum period. She is passionate about promoting safe, confident exercise throughout pregnancy, helping women stay active in a way that supports their wellbeing. She also enjoys helping women manage common pregnancy-related musculoskeletal concerns, such as lower back and pelvic girdle pain. Her aim is to build strength, ease discomfort and support each woman through every stage, including her return to exercise after birth.
Outside the clinic, Annie-Rose loves being outdoors, travelling and staying active. You’ll usually find her running or swimming in the sun, or curled up with a good book.

Fun Fact: Annie-Rose got her diving certification in Thailand and has since dived in many beautiful locations including the Great Barrier Reef and the east coast of Africa. Her favourite experience was at Two Mile Reef in Mozambique, where she dove alongside giant turtles and sharks—an amazing experience.

Testimonials

Becky, Blackheath

“I can’t recommend Darren and his team highly enough! I went there (recommended by a friend) in an effort to avoid more surgery for persistent pain, adhesions and post-surgery scar tissue which was stopping me from doing the things I love. And I’m pleased to say I have successfully done so, with the help of Darren and his care. It’s taken 8 months, but I’m over the moon. I’m back in the gym exercising for the first time in ages and loving it. Darren is someone who continues to learn, inspire and invest in professional development and this is apparent from talking to him and his team. It’s great to find a local gem like this company.”
