Favourite Things to Treat:
It’s hard to choose one specific thing, but the issue I come across the most is back pain due to postural imbalances and weak core muscles. I really enjoy teaching my clients – not only movements to help fix the imbalance – but giving them the tools and the understanding they need to prevent the issue from returning in the future. I am very happy treating all sorts of different types of problems, from frozen shoulders to hip replacements to pre and post natal fitness!
Testimonial:
I have been working with Penny for 2 months now and I can feel a massive change that has happened already inside me on multiple levels, as much physical as emotional. With Pilates sessions we have managed to put on track my pelvic floor, so disregarded after I gave birth 2 years ago, while “ballet class” (that i enjoy like crazy btw) seems to be fixing my very long term knee injury. I think Penny is an awesome instructor and she is not only very wise professionally, but also a great companion to do your work outs with, a person full of joy, passion, patience and empathy. I feel very lucky to have found her and to be training with.

Bio:

Hi, I’m Penny!

I’m a fully qualified Mat and Equipment Pilates Instructor, Barre Instructor, Personal Trainer and Ariel Yoga Instructor based in South East London.

Having worked at a Physiotherapy practice for the past 5 years, I have a lot of experience in Pilates for rehab of various injuries and pathologies. I am also qualified in pre and post natal fitness and I’m very passionate about tailoring my sessions to meet each client’s individual needs.

When I was young I was very sporty, good at running and absolutely loved gymnastics. After secondary school I lost my way from this fitness path, and later re-found my love of exercise in my late 20’s. As well as the physical benefits of exercise and healthy living, I have found this lifestyle to also help massively with my mental health, and I can see this reflected in my clients too, which is really rewarding.

I teach group classes, one to one sessions and duet classes at the beautiful Vanbrugh Physio studio.

Offering a friendly and supportive service, I have received a lot of positive feedback from my clients over the years and look forward to assisting you on your fitness journey!

An interesting fact about you no one would know (until now):
I also work as a professional percussionist, performing across the UK and internationally!
