Bio:

Hi, I’m Jacqui a new member of the Vanbrugh Physio team. I completed my Physiotherapy degree at the University of Melbourne, Australia in 2004. My physio career started at Peninsula Health, a Public Healthcare provider in Victoria Australia as a rotating Grade 1 physiotherapist where I gained valuable and varied experience across all areas of physio. I soon realised I had a keen interest in treating musculoskeletal patients as I thoroughly enjoyed the problem solving element the role required and valued the autonomy to assess, treat and help our patients achieve their functional goals.

I came to live in London, October 2006 and have worked in various NHS musculoskeletal outpatient settings. I started working in the Private sector in 2016 treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions; ergonomic, sports related, post-surgery as well as providing ergonomic workstation assessments to private companies. Along the way, I have worked with amateur football teams, providing field side care and in the clinic aiding their rehab back to play level.

My passion is to help alleviate a patient’s pain and dysfunction by analysing their biomechanics and using my skills in manual, exercise, acupuncture, and education. I take pride in empowering patients on their rehab journey and supporting them to achieve their goals.

In my youngers years growing up in Australia, I was a keen squad swimmer and middle-distance runner. Though I did enjoy trying my hand at lots of different sports. These days as a busy working mum of two young girls I keep fit by running after them, going to the gym or a yoga class. On weekends, I love exploring different pockets of London, and traveling when we can to experience different cultures.

An interesting fact about you no one would know (until now):
I was chess champion of grade 6 at primary school.
