Testimonial:
I have been seeing Clare Ratnavira for about 5 months now. Clare is professional and her approach to personal training innovative. This makes the exercise programmes and workouts fun and enjoyable, whilst also pushing you to the edge of your capabilities, so you improve. Clare adapts the programmes to suit any current injury or niggle you may have, and she works closely with my physio Darren, to ensure we’re meeting my rehabilitation needs. Clare is very supportive and I look forward to my workouts. I know I’ll work hard in the session, but walk out feeling like I’ve achieved something, feeling good about myself and knowing my body feels better for it.

Bio:

Hi, I’m Clare and I’m thrilled to be part of the Vanbrugh Physio Clinic team as a Personal Trainer.

I grew up surrounded by a family obsessed with sport. I played tennis, netball, hockey, swimming – you name it. An active lifestyle was a given. Into my twenties and thirties I started running; 5kms & 10kms, which over the years evolved into bigger and bigger challenges, from marathons into triathlons.

Career-wise, I’ve spent 30+ years working in Financial Services in the City of London, but even there my passion was leading, motivating and coaching colleagues and then private clients, to grow & define and ultimately achieve their own goals.

Finally I decided it was time for a change and began a new career in the health and fitness industry, qualifying as a personal trainer. I get so much satisfaction from working with clients as they commit to lifestyle changes and realise health benefits and achieve their individual goals.

I’ve been through my own journey with health and fitness. I know what it’s like to work long hours, to sit all day behind a desk and to see my body suffer. I know what it’s like to feel like there isn’t time to exercise, or just not knowing where to start. I’ve had to work hard to bring my body and my fitness levels back from injuries, illness and surgeries, with the help of Vanbrugh Physio Clinic as a patient.

But most importantly, I know what it’s like to have a dream, to then turn that dream into a goal, a plan and a reality, which for me was crossing the finish line of an endurance triathlon just after my 50th birthday.

I’m thrilled to be working with the Vanbrugh Physio Clinic, with a great group of people, but more importantly to be able to help more clients to achieve a new quality of fitness and to achieve their goals, whatever they may be.

An interesting fact about you no one would know (until now):
I’m a Divemaster scuba diver, my biggest adventure was witnessing Orcas and Tiger Sharks in the Southern Ocean, off the coast of South Africa.
